Good: Staff was very helpful, VIP room was fun, facility was clean

Stayed here after running a relay race with some friends. Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable beds and very helpful staff. Building is definitely dated, however there were several signs indicating that they were remodeling.

The main reason I selected this place was cost. This is my 11th trip to Vegas so I know all the hotels. For some reason this hotel was only about $40 a night and the next cheapest was Harrah's at about $160 so this was a no-brainer. I already knew the hotel from my casino visits so I already knew I would like it. The staff was really friendly, like more than usual. Even the hotel maids said hello from their carts in the hallway. Everything was clean. It was not new, but this is a historical building (Vegas history) so I already had expectations. Self parking was very easy, a monorail to the strip if you dont feel like driving. Just far enough away from the crazy. Unlike strip hotels where most rooms look at other hotels, these rooms all had sweeping views of mountains and the city. A plus is that if you decline housekeeping services they give you a $10 voucher for food (only good if you stay 3 or more nights). We got $20 and had a great breakfast on our checkout. Nice old ladies still work the cafes, and the service from them was amazing - unlike the young 20 somethings with attitudes that work all the "hip" Strip restaurants.

Good: We could access the monorail from the Hotel to the Las Vegas Strip locations. Never needed a car or taxi -- great way to get around. The hotel had a great pool/spa area. We dined at TJ's Steakhouse and had the salmon and sea bass. It was delicious!
Great location, free parking -- great dining and entertainment.

We were only staying to catch an early morning flight. Didn't get to see much of the hotel since we got there later in the evening. It was nice and the staff was friendly for what we did experience. The rooms were nice.

Good: Room was clean and spacious. I also really liked that I could text the valet and have my car waiting for me when I came downstairs.
