Leading the Change for Green Hotels in Las Vegas

Our Eco-friendly Initiatives

In recent years, much of the country has been swept up in the national movement towards more sustainable and "green" living, and LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is hoping to lead the change for green hotels in Las Vegas by educating and empowering hotels to reduce their own carbon footprints.

LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino has created a new organization known as Project Green Team with the sole goal of making the world-class luxury and business hotel more energy efficient. The team has been active since 2008 and has already made significant strides towards improving the environmental impact of Las Vegas green hotel practices.

Project Green Team has revamped the hotel from top to bottom changing everything from the way the hotel's eateries dispose of their used cooking oil to the ground security using a new fleet of hybrid vehicles. Significant changes include the reduction of paper usage through new technologies, a switch to locally produced and organic snacks and the placement of energy-efficient LED lights throughout LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino which helped reduce the property's energy usage and resulted in a $65,000 rebate from Nevada Power.

Trash at our hotel is also run through a recycle belt upon collection.

Guests can get in on the green endeavors as well as part of the Las Vegas sustainable hotel's "Opt-Out" promotion, which provides visitors with the option of declining housekeeping services for a day while earning a voucher worth up to $10 good at any food or retail outlet within LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
