Jim Roets has nearly 40 years of experience in Nevada gaming. In 1978 he was recruited to open the MGM Grand in Reno, the largest property in northern Nevada at the time. Jim worked at the Reno Hilton, Caesars Tahoe, the Grand Sierra Resort and the Hooters Casino Hotel before joining the LVH in November 2012. Born in Wisconsin, Jim considers himself a Silver State resident having lived here since he was a teen and watched as Las Vegas has grown into a world class destination.

Alex Montanarella was born in New York and moved to Las Vegas in 1976 to attend UNLV. He has been in the casino industry for 37 years, having begun his career as a dealer at the MGM Grand. Alex worked at the Tropicana for 20 years, and also worked at the Rio before joining the Las Vegas Hilton, now the LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. He notes that what he enjoys most about the gaming industry is that every day provides new challenges and new opportunities. Alex also loves spending time with his wife and daughter, playing golf, traveling and attending sporting events.

Nancy Briggs started her career at the LVH in 1991 assisting the VP of International Marketing and Executive Casino hosts. Nancy worked her way through various departments at the LVH and is now Executive Casino Host International Marketing. Nancy loves to watch old movies, Broadway musicals, “oldies” music, non-fiction and autobiographical books.

Toby a resident of Las Vegas since 1957, has seen Las Vegas’ growth in the last 50 years. He started out as a dealer making $8 a day and worked at various casinos around town working his way up to Shift Boss, Casino Manager, Casino Host, Executive Casino and now LVH’s Director of Player Development. Toby workouts daily and is an avid Racquetball player.

Kathy Manard, born in California, moved to Las Vegas in 1978 to attend UNLV. She majored in hotel administration and worked her way through various casinos accumulating over 34 years in the casino industry. Kathy’s favorite thing about her position at the LVH is the relationship she’s built with her customers and independent agents. Kathy enjoys fishing, camping and most of all, spending time with her dog, Blossom.

Tad Nakano found his way to Las Vegas all the way from Boise, Idaho. Tad’s career at the LVH began in 2006 and he brings us over 10 years of experience in the casino industry. Tad enjoys singing, cycling, running, swimming, woodworking and wine drinking.

Joseph Reda has been in Las Vegas for over 35 years. Originally from Steubenville, Ohio, Joe began his career in the casino industry in 1999 and he has been at the LVH since 2006. Joe loves golf, running and weight training. He is also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Idalia Sandoval, born in Durango, Mexico and raised in Chicago, joined the LVH in 2005 as the coordinator for Latin Marketing. Through hard work and dedication Idalia quickly worked her way up to International Marketing Director. Idalia loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Les Thacker, a native of Ft. Bragg, NC, has over 35 years experience in the casino industry. Les started at the International Hotel in 1969 as a bus boy and left in 1970. Les found his way back to the LVH in 1974 as a dealer and worked his way to Executive Casino Host in 2005. Les likes all types of motor sports and is an avid biker.
